New Websites
You’ve got an idea for a website, or you need a page to show yourself off with - I can help!
Here’s a look at how it works, step by step.
-
Book a free 30min consultation chat with me - in person, depending on location, or online - so we can discuss what you’re looking for and how I can make it happen.
We’ll also talk about your URL and other integrations at this point, if needed.
-
I will produce a draft map of your site, showing you what I think should go where, and what I will need from you to make that happen - things like images, videos, social media connections etc.
Once you’re happy with this, we can move on to…
-
I build it!
All of my websites are built and hosted using Squarespace (I’m partnered with them which gives me some nifty perks to make your setup even simpler) - I will prepare the full site and get it ready for you to preview and give your feedback on.
-
When you’re happy with everything we’ll complete a handover process, I’ll show you how everything works and you can take over the running.
You’ll also have me on standby, just in case you do need any help in the future!
What about the costs?
An important question! Here’s a breakdown of the costs involved, to help you with your budgeting.
Working with me
I will provide you with a quote following our consultation, my general rate is £25/h and I usually start with 2 or 4 hours up front, depending on the work required.
Any work that exceeds this initial payment will be billed at a later date, agreed as part of our discussions.
url Fees
You will need to purchase your URL (web address) which is usually about £12-15 per year, depending on the suffix you choose.
You might also choose to purchase multiple versions to cover more bases - for example a .co.uk, .com and a .net version of your URL.
Squarespace Fees
Once your site is ready to publish, you’ll need to purchase a hosting subscription through Squarespace - either monthly or annually charged. Fees vary by plan chosen.
